Visitors can either fly to Shetland or travel by overnight ferry from Aberdeen.

There are several daily flights from Aberdeen, Inverness, Glasgow and Edinburgh to Sumburgh in Shetland. There is also a twice weekly Sumburgh to Bergen service in the summer months only.

All domestic flights are operated by Loganair and all flight details and prices can be found on Loganair website

The ferries are operated by Northlink and leave Aberdeen at either 1730 or 1900hrs depending on whether it’s a direct sailing to Lerwick or via Kirkwall, arriving in Lerwick at 0730 in the morning.
